Still Clara

Well folks, updates have been lazy but there's no time like the present.

Things have been going well for me. I've moved a couple of times, but I really like where I live right now so hopefully I can stay here. I haven't been seeing anybody recently, but I'm really happy hanging out with all my friends, shopping, and watching football. One of my friends has a daughter who cheers fohttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifr the high school football team, so I've been going to see their games on a pretty frequent basis.

I haven't been modeling very much, but I haven't left the industry. I've been doing some MUA stuff (hair and makeup artist). Anybody who has seen my hair in a frizzy mess is probably out there asking "what is she thinking doing other people's hair?" But I guess I'm better at doing other people's than my own lol!

Mostly those are small jobs, but I've had a couple of big ones. Earlier this year, through some contacts I got hooked up with a shoot and was actually flown to Southern California along with some other production people to work on a shoot for Carlotta Champagne. She was a blast to work with, we actually have a lot in common and she's so down to earth. Then I drove halfway across the state a month later for another photo shoot that took 3 days. It was for a home improvement magazine.

So anyway, life is going on. The frequent contacts I get, with some random answers:
1) Clara are you gonna pose nude any more?

> Not unless you look like Brad Pitt or Justin Timberlake.

> Uh-uh, not gonna do it.

Bikini Modeling

I was on vacation at the beach last week. I love going to the beach in the Fall because there are fewer people and nicer, cooler weather. I went for a long walk one day and came up on this huge crowd of people gathered around a makeshift stage. Turns out there was some kind of annual bikini contest going on, and we all know bikini contests tend to attract big crowds (usually half-drunk cheering guys).

Well I knew one of the girls working at one of the booths, so I stopped to talk. Two hours later, one of the promoters had talked me into joining the bikini contest!

It was tons of fun. That's the first one I've ever entered. Of course I didn't win, I think it's because my boobs aren't big enough. But I did get a $200 consolation prize, which I used for shopping that night!

Classical Beauty

Well I left the modelling world and I grew my hair out and then... well, I guess I came back to modelling! It's something I enjoy and it helps pay the bills. I've never considered myself to be like a classical beauty or anything, but I get gigs every now and then so that must mean I am not ugly lol.

I recently travelled to China for a jewelry show, it was the first time I've been there. This was right when that earthquake hit, which was scary.

Crazy Clara Posts

I was looking back over some of my previous posts and a few caught my eye. I can't believe I posted stuff like the no underwear item. Lol, what was I thinking? Really, I guess my updates have been few and far between.

I can't help it, sometimes life gets busy. I don't enjoy writing very much, but oddly enough I enjoy reading. The thought of having a blog that is sort of like an online diary is appealing to me because I enjoy going out and reading other people's.

Some people like using the internets like this because it offers a certain level of anonymity. I guess I don't count in that regard since so many of you "know" me from my website. But it's still nice to be able to publish something and sort of wonder who is going to read it.

Another Year

Well I can't believe we're halfway through January already. I went swimming yesterday in an indoor pool, and it made me think about how eager I am for Spring and Summer to come around. I don't mind Winter, but there's so much more to do in the Summer... and some much more to wear! I would rather wear shorts and skirts and fun tanktops than have to bundle up against the elements. I guess I could just move to Florida where they don't even have a winter!

Merry Naked Xmas

My guy friend bought me a puppy for Christmas! He is so cute. He is a cocker spaniel mix. The guy is not quite a boyfriend. We've been seeing each other for a few weeks now. I met him through my friend at work. He is a car salesman believe it or not. He works at a luxury car dealership. Because his gift was so nice and so thoughtful, I may have to hive him a naked christmas present :) Or maybe I'll just direct him to my website. I haven't told him that I have sort of a part-time internet job.
